miCal - The missing Calendar App Reviews

This app is great, it helps me keep track of all I need to remember, from work to home. I would just like to add a sync to google task! Thanks!

Great App! Lots of details, nice design, and very customizable. Also, their support is very responsive. But the calendar still has three shortcomings: 1) no time zone support - it should allow you to choose the time zone when setting up an event 2) no search function 3) creating an event is too complicated because natural language support does not work for some reason so you always need to click on "edit event" (should be expanded by default)

Suggestion: if an address is entered in an event, make the map pin clickable to get directions. Otherwise, its pretty much what the apple calendar app *should* have been.

It background refreshes, notifies, seeing several calendars at once, attendees, even copy and paste. Its the one I use every day for my business on iPhone 6s and iPad mini 4,,,, flawlessly. I only wish it would do a back up, and a delete with password. Those I would love.

I wanted a calendar on which to keep track of special days during the year (esp the many birthdays in our extended family). I also want to receive alerts prior which this app Supposedly does. However, it does not. I just tested it with a preset of several alerts set for 1,2,3,4 minutes and received ZERO alerts (yes I had allowed it in my settings) Also this app requires importing my own calendar info which i did not want to do. I ONLY wanted this calendar to special days and for reminder alerts. So this turned out to be a waste of $1.99 for me.

Without one fatal flaw, this would be a five-star app. However, that fatal flaw is present and, as such, makes continuing to use this app an impossibility. For some reason, I am not able to receive any alerts it alarms. I enabled notifications of all types for miCal in settings, but to no avail. I can set them just fine in this beautifully designed app, but they never trigger. I managed to miss two different appointments because I did not receive an alert from miCal. Very disappointing. Should the alarm issue be fixed, Ill gladly elevate the rating to where it belongs.

I shared the fatal flaw of many writers until I deleted all scheduling apps except the native iPhone one from the device just prior to updating to a new iOS version. After updating I reinstalled mical and it worked perfectly.

I love this app! I use it primarily to copy calendar events from one calendar to another or from one day to another. It has the functionality that should be in the standard calendar app. I have tried many, many calendar apps and this is my favorite so far.

I like how it can pack so much information for things on different days into an easily readable and navigable format

Always have a hard time finding an app that will keep everything in one place. This app syncs all of my calendars business personal home. Shows me a review for the year month day week agenda and all my to do items. I love that it gives me the weather also :-)

I really like this app, but two things is needed. More Color options for the interface and please fix the problem when I enter data in events for reminders and appointments for a certain date it sets it for todays date instead of the date I entered. At first it worked fine, but now its happening more often. I have to re-enter the data and watch it to make sure its setting the correct date.

Brings together everything we need to manage our hectic lives. Good job!

The month view is great and my favorite feature is the copy feature. The native app doesnt do copy. Neither does google calendar.

No other ap gives so many views and clearly divided dates/appts. No other aps do it so no fault here but would be nice to have a calendar integrate with Evernote or One Note.

Once in a while I try a different calendar, but I always come back to this one. Ill give it 5 stars when it solves the time zone problem. Need to be able to specify what time zone a new event is in, for when Im traveling, with it defaulting to my home time zone. Say Ill be in the eastern time zone and Ill have a 3 oclock meeting - but I live on the west coast. Id like to be able to enter the meeting for 3 pm EDT and not have to figure out the west coast time. And when Im away from my home time zone, be able to enter meetings directly for my home time zone and not have to do the time zone arithmetic every time.

The miCal app was just what I needed to keep all of my work, volunteer, social and family calendars organized in one place. Improvements with the ios7 version have been great, although the new font is a bit difficult for aging eyes to read.

Love this app. Have been using it for about a year now and I just cant find a reason to switch to another calendar app.
