miCal - The missing Calendar App Reviews

Best calendar app by far. Replaces 3-4 apps and does a great job integrating all of them. Beautiful as well. Intuitive.

I still use the original miCal. The font in the new version is terrible. It might be more "iOS8" but its bad. Way too thin for the amount of text being crammed on the screen. Please give us the option to choose the original, chunkier font. I dont feel like the new format is readable at a glance like the previous version. Also...the colour schemes, even the new Gray and Dark schemes are very poor for readability. Please bring back the old scheme. Im sure there are benefits to the new version of miCal but until the visuals of the app can be fixed I will be sticking to the original.

Best calendar for IPhone, Tried a lot this one is clear and complete

I really like this calendar. It is a lot like iCal but seems more reliable and crashes less, and it also has a better system for keeping track of your to-do list. One thing I would suggest for improvement is the controls for repeating events. Currently the only options are daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, yearly... It would save a lot of time to be able to specify which days of the week you want your event repeated on, for instance, if you have a class every monday wednesday and friday, you currently have to enter the class three times, and hit repeat weekly on each entry. Even a "weekdays" or "weekends" button would help. Id also be interested in seeing a feature that would allow you to integrate a to-do list within an event (I havent found this on any apps so far). All in all a very good buy!

Addition of capability of moving calendar items from one day to another similar to Apple Calendar. Otherwise very good

When you start off as a PC user and get accustomed to everything Google, and then you discover the iPad - life suddenly gets complicated. Im not really willing to give up one for the other. I tried using MAC computers but if youve used a PC all of your life.....your hands just know what to do without thinking. So Ive compromised. I use iThings and PC and miCal is a great app that allows me to maintain a calendar while using both platforms. Get miCal, you wont regret it

An awesome organization app, and my only suggestion would be to be able to add sub-events. (main event would be "Go to work", sub would be "Lunch", etc.) This app is better than any other calendar app Ive seen.

Ive used this for 2 years when originally looking for a calendar that handles multiple gmail, Yahoo, exchange EWS AND iCal subscriptions. Outlook comes close, its better than iCalendar and you can customize colors, # days in the week, alerts and other endless features. Its even better than Sunrise, Peek and calenGoo.

Absolutely needed: moving events by dragging them (in day, week, month views). This should be perfect and the best TM app ever!

Recent update still doesnt include time zone support like EVERY OTHER CALENDAR out there. Its the only thing that makes it 4 star instead of 5 star for me. MiCal is a very good calendar but could be great with 2 simple additions. First, implement time zone support. When I book an appointment I book it at the scheduled time. Without time zone support, the time of that appointment will change depending in what time zone Im in. MiCal should let me specify a time zone for everything and not change my calendar. Secondly, widgets for the Notification Center would be a very welcome addition. UPDATE: Thanks for the widget. Ive added one star to the ratings for that. The new version Still doesnt have time zone support. This is the biggest weakness for folks who travel and set up appointments in different time zones. You never really know what time that appointment is when you travel from one part of the country to another. That simple fix will bring this up to a 5 star program. UPDATE: Dropped one star from my last rating. Another release and still no time zone support LIKR EVERY OTHER CALENDAR HAS. It may be time to go back to Calendars 5.

I tried a lot of calendar apps, and this is by far the best

Its a beautiful calendar Its minimalist It could be more intuitive to make an event but i have yet to see anyone do it better All my productivity apps work with multitasking on the new ipad ioss except this one No ads Paid for version is not offering a lot but buy it to support them for not putting ads in this Ive honestly looked for a good lightweight simple calendar app for so long

I really want to like this app, but compared to other apps in this crowded field, it falls short on the ability to make characters bold and adjust the font size, the colors are dull, the settings are confusing, etc. I keep it around so that Ill get update notices that will eventually make it my go-to calendar app. But...its not there yet.

MiCal does everything I need it to. Its a very good app. Easy to use and all inclusive. Great value.

I use this app everyday to keep track of all appointments and to keep a history of when things happened. Very easy to use app.
